Encinal School's
award-winning Teaching Garden is run by parent-volunteers
and is integrated into the school curriculum. Each classroom
has a garden bed and each grade has a well-developed curriculum
that allows the students to learn about gardening and so
much more - including the environment, life-cycles and ecosystems,
soil science, food and economy, botany, specialized habitats,
and endangered species.
