Lunchtime Activities


Sports
Students assist the Lunchtime Sports coordinator with lunchtime activities such as volleyball, football and basketball games. These students work each Friday.


Board Games

Students meet with parent volunteers once or twice a week during lunch recess to play a variety of board games.

Computer Lab
Students meet (on a rotating basis) in the school's computer lab to play educational computer games.

Lunchtime Office Help
Students answer phones and cover for the school secretary during lunch. These students work one day per week.

Citizenship
 


Flag

Students raise and lower the flag each day. This commitment requires the student's time once each morning and afternoon each school day for a month.
Lost and Found Students monitor and organize the Lost and found area in the multi on a weekly basis. This team works once a week at lunchtime.

Ball Hut
Students help distribute and return ball hut supplies during morning and noon recess, keep the ball hut organized and the equipment in good condition. This commitment is once per week.

Sharing and Caring
Students assist the Sharing and Caring committee with lunchtime projects. This team works twice a month at lunchtime, and makes short classroom presentations to announce Sharing and Caring activities.

Spirit
Students assist the Spirit committee with lunchtime projects. This team works twice a month at lunchtime, and may need to be out of class once per month to make a short presentation to other classes to announce Spirit Day events.

The Green Thumbs Citizenship Gardening Group meets in the school garden once a month or more, depending on the season. Student Members take care of the community garden areas, such as the mini-orchard, the butterfly garden, the plants in the flagpole area, and help with the compost and weeding. Meetings include the privilege of eating lunch in the garden.

Disaster
Preparedness Students become a part of the school's disaster preparedness team by helping to inventory supplies, inventory individual classroom kits, and learn the school's disaster plan, first aide and CPR.


After School Sports & Enrichment
 


The PTO is pleased to offer a variety of after-school programs. Informational flyers and enrollment forms will be posted on the Flyers and Forms page when available.

Fall 2007 Activities

Monday: Spanish & French - 1st of 2 classes per week (Berlitz)
Tuesday: After School Hoops (One on One Basketball)
  Engineering FUNdamentals with Legos (Play-Well)
Thursday: Chess (Know Chess)
  After School Math (Foundations for Education)
Friday: Fencing (Elite Muskateer)
  Spanish & French - 2nd of 2 classes per week (Berlitz)
Sunday: 4th and 5th Grade Girls Volleyball practices (PTO run, game days TBD - either Tuesday or Thursday)
